The aim of this study is the evealuation of the overvoltages due to the switching off four 100 Mvar capacitor bancks connected to the 220 kV busbars of the Benejama, Catadau, Jijona and San Vicente substations. In addition, it will be evaluated the effect of the installation of damping circuits in the neutral of the capacitor banks. The study will be addressed with the ATP version of the EMTP program.
